Lizzo Wore Her Met Gala Outfit to The Airport This Morning

Since the Met Gala is one of the biggest nights of the year for fashion, all the attendees are likely to spend weeks, or even months, on fittings with the designer of their custom look. So we can imagine that it might be hard to part with said outfit once the party has ended.

Lizzo, who is a veritable pop star on the rise, attended her first ever Met Gala last night as a guest of Marc Jacobs. The designer created a one-of-a-kind look for the singer— an empire-waist gown with thigh-high slit, along with the most exquisite feathered cape all in different shades of pink, for that much-needed drama for the "camp" theme.

The "Cuz I Love You" singer topped off her look with a sculpted pink wig adorned with crystals for some added extra. You have to bring your A-game when walking a red carpet with style icons like supermodel Kate Moss and fellow singer Rita Ora—and Lizzo certainly held her own.

But it seems like Lizzo just didn't want to part with her epic outfit. Afterall, so much hard work goes into creating such a confection, why should she only wear it once?

This morning, the "Cuz I Love You" singer was spotted strutting her stuff through the John F. Kennedy airport still rocking her Marc Jacobs feathered cape.

Now that's what we call traveling in style.

Lizzo shared several videos of herself on Instagram Stories making her way through the Delta terminal of the airport, sunglasses on, Celine bag and a stuffed monkey in tow. Once she stepped on the plane, she took off the cape revealing camouflage pants, a red cropped shirt and some comfy UGG boots. We're sure that cape will come in handy as a blanket to keep her warm on the flight.
