Faith Evans is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, and actress. The Lakeland, Florida native moved to Los Angeles in 1991 to pursue her career in the music business.

Moving to LA certainly proved to be a success, as she became the first female artist to be signed under Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs’ Bad Boy Entertainment in 1994. While under the record label, she dropped three platinum-certified studio albums: ‘Faith’ (1995), ‘Keep the Faith’ (1998), and ‘Faithfully’ (2001). Later in 2010, she then released her fifth studio album ‘Something About Faith’

Her albums have reached the top of the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts and she has sold over 18 million records worldwide over a 20-year career.

In addition, Evans is known for being the widow of rapper Christopher “The Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace. The two married on August 4, 1994, which sadly came to an end with Wallace’s murder on March 9, 1997.
