Amal Clooney Looks Like a '70s Bombshell in a Belted Suede Minidress

Amal Clooney is known for her timeless style, but the look she wore for her latest outing is reminiscent of the ’70s, thanks to this one stellar piece.

The human-rights lawyer was recently photographed walking her St. Bernard puppy with husband George in Cotignac, a village in the south of France. She wore a retro caramel suede minidress featuring a zip-up collar, structured long sleeves, an A-line skirt, and a belted waist with a large tortoiseshell buckle.

She modernized the look with some black accessories, including a classic black iteration of Prada’s Cleo bag, as well as large amber sunglasses and a pair of black heeled booties.

George took a more casual approach to his outfit. Photos published by the Daily Mail show the actor and Boys in the Boat director wearing a black windbreaker, a navy blue T-shirt, faded blue jeans, and creamy suede dress shoes.

This week’s outing is far from the first time that Clooney has taken sartorial inspiration from previous decades. For instance, on a date night with George in December, she channeled flapper-girl energy by way of a bubblegum-pink feathered minidress. She layered the romantic look underneath a shiny black blazer, and finished it off with metallic bronze pointed-toe pumps, a small textured black leather clutch, and a pair of diamond-encrusted red gemstone drop earrings.
